Coors Will Give You Free Beer Every Time It Gets Trolled by Bud Light

The Great Corn Syrup War rages on. I've been conscripted simply because I drink beer. I have grown tired, yet, the war proceeds onward even after Bud Light released a sort of apology about its Super Bowl ads. You remember, dear, the ones about corn syrup that most people thought were a little misleading. The very advertisement that played starter's pistol to our current predicament. You'd be forgiven if you forgot. I believe we all fell asleep during the game whether from pure boredom or an overfull sensation brought on by one too many Takis Fuego.

You know trouble is right around the corner when your best friend tells you to hold his beer!!

Jokes aside these past two and a half months have given a bit of insight into how hard alcoholics must have it to stay sober. Alcohol is seemingly everywhere, whether it's going for drinks after work, beer and/or wine being on sale in the supermarket, or just people talking about how nice it is to relax with a beer. You can't away from the stuff.

So, hold the phone a sec. here..  you stopped drinking, and made us believe it was because you had a problem or it was a lifestyle adjustment, yet your allowed to crack open an ice cold beer in two and a half weeks?  Shame on you.  I hereby Challenge you, my friend, good sir, my (idk, perhaps) acquaintance.  Go trick a girl in marrying you, then after 10 years try to quit drinking for 3 months.   You’ll never last, rookie.

When did I say it was because I had problem or that it was permanent?

It was implied.   I mean why else would you do it?  Where you trying to slim down to attract the Asian girls?  Or any girl? Or a breathing person?   That’s the only other logical reason I can see.

No doubt. Not to mention being constantly bombarded with adverts and dealing with friends who drink. I watched my father struggle with it while growing up. Come to find out, the only way he could kick it was with opioids, but then that introduced a whole new host of problems.

During training in the Navy many moons ago, we watched a film that claimed if alcohol was discovered tomorrow, it would be a highly controlled substance. I don't know if that's entirely true, but I have no problem believing it.

I agree it can be very difficult among certain friends, I have taken to 'faking' a drink with a glass of half orange juice/half water just to avoid getting asked about it. Alcohol is ubiquitous in our culture, especially among the younger generations. The alcoholism rate is surely higher among millennial's than the prior generations.

It's to lose weight and save money. And it's working for both goals.

You can get all the free Coors Light you want! Here's how:

1. Fill a bottle halfway with tap water.
2. Fill it the rest of the way with dog urine. If you can't get a hold of dog urine easily, human urine will suffice, but you might lose some of that signature Coors Light flavor and end up with something closer to Budweiser.
3. Seal the bottle and leave it sitting on the counter for 1-2 weeks.
4. Refrigerate for 8-12 hours.
5. Free beer!

I decided to do what you are doing about 3 years ago and it's true, you can't get away from it. Seems like everything we do surrounds drinking- go listen to music, go to dinner, play golf, go to a Jags game, whatever. I still like it, I just don't do it very much- I keep track and last year got to 280 days without a drink. This year, I'm shooting for 300.

Yes, exact same reasons for me. It's been worth 31 pounds so far and a lot of money. The money part amazes me as a night out costs me $5-6 now instead of 30-40. I rarely go to the ATM anymore for walking around money.

I do find that I want dessert now where I was never much of a dessert person. It's b/c I'm not getting the carbs from beer/mixed drinks. I find that I enjoy going out for a coffee and dessert after supper at home...I never thought that would happen.

I see guys/friends at my 2 favorite bars all the time, often there in the afternoon and into the evening. I'm not exaggerating when i say they are drinking 10 or more beers a day. Do the math and add on a 20% tip. Yowza.

Perfect timing, I was just telling someone the other day that you weren't completely useless.

Edit: I take that back, I could only +1 you ... Must be a Mod privilege to be able to +2.

Apparently not, it used to be available to everyone but the admins must have turned that off.
