It is quite difficult to schedule routine care let alone emergency care. Some states have done well by providing counseling and urgent care centers in strip malls as a means of providing quicker care while not having to jump through the multitude of hoops required at a VA hospital. In my experience, the mental health segment at the VA is overextended and limited in treatement. ![]() |
