Nothing unreasonable here. ^   I don't share your disdain (entirely) for Smoot, but your points are considerations that are not lost on me. 

One explanation:  The 7 LB thing is about special teams. That's a DeCamillis hallmark.

Cunningham is a ST ACE!! I think that coupled with comparable receiving ability to Blue pushes him onto the roster. We'll keep 6 LB's not sure if Josh Allen will technically count as one of those 6, but i strongly suspect our depth will be 4 core ST's guys rather than linebackers in the classic sense.

Yeah. Anything is possible, but I'd be fairly surprised to see Blue beat out Cunnungham as a third down guy. If Blue scrapes onto the roster, it's probably because Fournette or Armstead is banged up. 

There's a reason why Cunningham has 3 seasons with 26 pass targets or more  (high of 52) and Blue barely reached 20 targets in one lone season.  Don't be fooled by a similar catch rate. Cunningham is a better receiver and he's better after the catch.
