#1

Long Live the Queen !!   Keeping Trump off of Twitter has proved to be the key to the stock market.

Cheers -- I'll drink to that.

I'm sure they miss Obama's visits. He is a little busy on a world tour lying about our gun laws.

Lol.... Brazil is one of the most corrupt and crime ridden countries in the world.  Why the heck is he even complaining about the US Gun Laws with a Brazilian audience in the 1st place --- he should be saying compared to you guys, we look pretty good.  The organized crime in Brazil is outrageous.  Unfortunately, I must admit that I do think the Dems have gotten dumber in the past 2 years as they take extreme measures to take the polar opposite position that Trump is currently supporting.

SÃO PAULO, Brazil — Brazil has beat its own macabre record for homicides: 63,880 people were murdered across the country in 2017, up 3 percent from the year before, according to a new study. That’s 175 deaths per day.

Data from the Brazilian Forum of Public Security
, a research organization, shows the murder rate in the country was 30.8 per 100,000 people, up from 29.9 in 2016. For the sake of comparison, the United States had five homicides per 100,000 people in 2015 — the most recent year for which data are available — down from eight per 100,000 in 1996. Even Mexico, which is also suffering from a soaring murder rate, had less homicides per capita with 25 per 100,000 last year.

What is driving the increase in homicides?
Organized crime is one of the driving factors behind the rise. Brazil’s murder rate has soared as rival drug gangs battle for territory in a country that shares borders with the three biggest cocaine producing countries in the world — Colombia, Peru and Bolivia. Brazil is a major consumer of both cocaine and crack and a key transit point for cocaine headed to Europe and Asia.  Not surprisingly, two of the states with the highest murder rates, Acre and Ceará, are thoroughfares along the main smuggling routes.

He has to do something to fill the time in those 500K a pop speaking engagements, since talking about his accomplishments would only take up the first 30 seconds.

Actually the market (DOW) gained almost 150 points right after the press conference with President Trump and Prime Minister May.  Throw in the fact that both China and Mexico are willing to negotiate after the President imposed tariffs.  The final factor regarding the jump today is The Fed hinting at an interest rate cut coming soon.

There are 10 kinds of people in this world.  Those who understand binary and those who don't.
