Trump is a center left moderate at best. The "gap" between him and the Dems is the entire Left side of the American political spectrum. There is no truly Right wing party in this country.

There is a huge gap in politics. Trump's #1 priority is to feed the rich. The Democrats #1 priority is to feed all the stray cats in the neighborhood. No one is concentrating on the citizens struggling to maintain what they have.
