Can't disagree with that.

Wow, just wow.

The article's behind a paywall. I think I kind of get where they're coming from. Any one prescription drug has potentially dozens of prices based upon UCR for the area (and there are lots of areas), the "price" negotiated with service providers/pharmacies and the prices negotiated with insurance companies. Going through all of them would be impossible, which suggests that prescription drug pricing is too far gone to be understandable for the average person, and that's a problem that needs to be addressed. I'm also in full support of b2hibry's idea to just end drug commercials entirely. Those are decisions you should make based upon discussions with your doctor. You shouldn't go into an appointment saying, "I need this particular drug," and people do.

While we're at it, let's end the practice of big pharma salespeople going into doctor's offices with incentives for pushing a certain pill over others with similar effects.

Man, that's a lot of regulation you're suggesting.

Healthcare is one area where I think regulation is useful and needed. Obamacare took it way too far, but a system in which pharmaceutical companies and insurance companies basically set their own rules is a broken one.

Wow, just wow.

While I strongly support Trump's drug price idea, I have to agree with the judge in this case. Laws, especially ones that restrict freedom (i.e. 99%), need to be passed by congress, even those that restrict corporate freedom.

The corporate-hating Leftist majority in the House should be on board. The interesting thing to see will be whether or not they put their hatred of Trump ahead of the welfare of the public.
