This is one of many reasons I am no GM, and if I were, plenty of people like me on message boards like this would be clamoring for me to be fired.

I never understood the hunger for the guy, and I guess he could turn it around eventually, but almost without exception if a team is willing to trade away a QB he's not worth trading for.

I never liked the kid. Didn't get the hype around him when he came out of UCLA. Was laughing my [BLEEP] off when people on here during opening draft night and over the draft weekend were hoping we would fork over a pick for him like the Dolphins did.

He regressed as a passer in almost every facet of the position during his senior year. He put up gaudy numbers against garbage teams in his conference. Didn't really impress. Wasn't a fan of Darnold nor Allen neither.

And then his arrogance at the combine through the interview process and goofy demeanor reeked of a young Jay Cutler without the actual cannon for an arm.

I honestly can't remember my assessment of Rosen coming out. I think I liked him better than Josh Allen, Jackson and Darnold. But Baker was always my dude for that draft. I was high on Rudolph for that draft too, so I may be batting .500 at best with my QB assessments of recent years. (including 2017 and 2019)
The naysayers of Baker probably are eating their words this season, if they haven't already. (And if given a chance, I bet Grier does the same)

Per Rosen though.... it's never a good sign when a team gives up on you after 1 season, however... new team, new system, meh roster... I'm not surprised his situation isn't better from AZ to MIA
