If you are downtown Bellweather is a good choice as is Burrito Gallery.

As for the beaches area: Poes in Atlantic Beach is good, as is Hawkers, but I will leave Jax beach to people who are down there more.

I hope you enjoy your trip and manage  to get a cheap hotel room.

Oh, and Brew in 5 Points has good coffee and breakfast burritos if you want something a little different in the a.m.. Hoptinger across the street has a nice rooftop bar.  5 Points is also near downtown and also has a Hawkers (like Atlantic Beach.)

If you want cheap parking, drive down some side streets. People will often rent out their driveways/ lots for much cheaper than parking garages. I would advise locking your doors, though.
