Russ is ahead of both though

3 black QBs and 1 white RB leading the charge for MVP.   Pretty amazing if you think about it.

Do you remember when QBs were white and RBs were black?

What does that have to do with anything?  Seriously... keep the race thing out of discussion here.  A player's race/ethnicity is irrelevant.  This is after all 2019.

C'mon that's a classic joke from Futurama...

This type of reaction was not necessary. It is pretty amazing.

No, it's not irrelevant at all.  There have been times when the common sentiment among some folks was black QBs weren't smart enough to be good at the position.  Representation is really important.

I think we can move forward after 30 or more years.

In (hopefully) 5 years it'll no longer be a thing about skin color and position. Because of guys like Wilson, Mahomes, Jackson, and previously Newton, Vick, McNabb.

But since we're going there... how come there ain't more black kickers?!!??

Can not wait.

How many white corners have there been? Jason Sehorn the only one?

Just read over the last 20 years only 7 have played in NFL games, most of which weren't full time or season long starters.
Today all starting 64 and their back ups are black.

Weird... never even thought about it.

It's a culture thing though. Starts at pop warner. Coaches decided who is "athletic enough" who is "strong enough" who is "smart enough" to play certain positions.
Why aren't there black kickers? Why would you waste that athleticism on a position like kicker. Surely he's fast enough enough to play CB or WR.
No white corners? Not fast enough or athletic enough, I assume.
Shoot... most white WRs are of the slot variety no? Not usually really fast, but quick and twitchy or good route runners.

Kinda silly really but by the time college and NFL comes around these guys have been told what to be and molded into what they are.
Here's to hoping the next generation starts to break the mold much in the way black QBs have started to really break through.

Bout to be the first QB in history to have two perfect passer ratings in the same season. Not bad for a WR.

passing yards 3195 over first 16 starts (not including part time games where Flacco started, also not included was the absolute dud in the playoffs most of his stats came in absolute bortles garbage time)

which puts him somewhere around Brandon Weeden and Andy Dalton's rookie years (and 2/3 of his passing yards have come in his sophomore campaign and not in a rookie season)

Dalton was 24 his rookie year and Weeden was 29.

Lamar is 22 in his sophomore year. The kid is amazing. Keep on hating.

He is not very bright, keeps on hating on everyone who is not a jag and overrating every jag player, pretty funny really.

Yeah OK, Mr Fowler>Yannick.

Reading is hard, I get it, but go ahead and scroll up a bit where I admit Jackson is doing much better than I ever gave him credit for.

Thanks for trolling you twits Smile
