Realistic return for Jalen?

#1

I don’t know how realistic it is to expect more than one 2020 first round pick for Jalen Ramsey, but right now there are only two teams that can offer two in 2020 - the Dolphins (who won’t want him because they need the picks to rebuild) and the Raiders...

The Raiders would seem the obvious fit, with Jalen apparently wanting to go back to Vegas, but I find it hard to believe they would give up both picks.

So if we’re valuing him on a par with Khalil Mack and after two first round picks then we’ll probably have to look for one in 2021.

Or is two first round picks for Jalen too much to hope for?

Realistic return in my mind:

A first, a fifth, and a mid-tier player. Just depends on which teams are serious about it. They all have different combinations to offer.
Maybe a 2020 first and a 2021 2nd.

I don't see two firsts coming our way after that presser.

2 1's, 2 2's, 3'3s and cash

I think a first round pick and a starting caliber player at a position of need would be a decent return.

Or, a 2020 1st round pick and a 2021 1st rounder, and an additional late round pick.

2 firsts, and maybe more if it's the Pats or Chefs.

A pair of 1's or a 1 & 2 with a respectable player or up and coming player at TE, LT or CB.

2 high picks and a player.

Or don't trade him.

We can even throw in Telvin Smith and Justin Blackmon.

I see either a 1st, 2nd and 3rd or a 1st, 2nd and a good player.

The whole team's draft, ie mike Ditka when with the Saints for Ricky Williams

The 2 negatives against him is some are going to take his arrogance as a problem, and the money he is going to demand next year.

I don't know how teams value him but do know Tunsil plays a much more premium spot. I don't know if you can get 2 1's for a corner unless it's low ones to a contender.

I don't think any team will offer a deal worth taking that's realistic. Simply put, one first round pick isn't going to cut it, nor is a 1st and a 2nd. Because we trade Ramsey, then we've gotta replace Ramsey. Either with one of those picks, or in free agency. Either way, we're not better off with a 1st round pick and a 2nd round pick, than we are with Ramsey and what we've got now. You don't trade a player -- even one thats' complaining -- and then the team end up worse for it. It just doesn't make sense.
