Is Ramsey’s injury believable?

(This post was last modified: 10-04-2019, 01:38 PM by Caldrac.)

I really think Ramsey will draw this out until there's a period of this team losing consecutively without him in the line-up (Damn near had his wish in Denver) or until Herndon shows the ability to consistently keep his assignments in check. That's just damage control on his part to keep his value reasonably high to be traded and to not look like a [BLEEP] teammate.

And as most have cited. It's a believable injury. And it's hard to really prove nor disprove the severity of it. And as long as he's trying to work things out on a medical level with the team doctor's he'll save face to an extent in the media. It's a dirty [BLEEP] tactic. He's getting what he wants one way or another. I just don't see them getting this kid back on the team anytime soon. He's shown his [BLEEP] enough already.

Doesn't matter what the coaches say or what the owner says. He wants out. So get him out of here when it's convenient for the team and the value matches up to where they can add enough talent to the roster.

Bothers me that virtually every damn jersey I have bought now the player seems to never work out. LOL.

Matt Jones - Fail
Justin Blackmon - Fail
Jalen Ramsey - Probable Fail

Next time I have over $100 burning a hole in my pocket I am just going to order a damn jersey and have an old player's name tagged to it. Taylor, Boselli, Smith, Brunell.

Frustrating as [BLEEP]!

The good thing about this week is Herdon will have an easier task.  Sanders or Sutton is one of the better number 2 WRs in the league

I don't know about his back, but he is hurting the team by not playing. He says all this stuff about caring about his teammates or whatever, so we will see how long this lasts. Reality is everyone is "hurt" in the NFL right now, even just a couple weeks in. Whether or not that injury is enough to keep you from playing is the question. I believe there definitely is an element of him trying to "get even" with the FO, but it's pretty pathetic and selfish to do that. This is the ultimate team sport. You have two years left on your contract. Get your [BLEEP] out there.

He can think he’s accomplishing something but he isn’t.

The team is not moving him. Eventually he will be medically cleared and at that point if he still claims injury then he probably will forfeit game checks

For an extra $50 you can get an official throwback.

If his back has been sooooo bad...especially over the last couple of years...why is it that he is just now going to see a back specialist?

This is the first I've ever heard of him having back problems.

According to Austen Lane on the radio yesterday, if Ramsey is faking an injury the team can see right through it. He also said if that’s the case then all that brotherhood and fellowship with his teammates that Ramsey preaches about is out the door. Instead, it will breed resentment towards him.

He's full of [BLEEP]. That's why we've never heard of it before. His back hurts from probably carrying around that giant [BLEEP] ego of his everyday.

Trust me. I won't buy his jersey until well after he's hoisted up a Lombardi Trophy for this franchise and city.

If anyone is familiar with the Office, I'm seeing some similarities with the episode of Michael Scott burning his foot on a George Foreman grill. Did he hurt himself? Probably. But is it really as bad as he is pretending it to be? Maybe not.

I believe it, I'm sure even some of his teammates that had his back early on will get tired of it after a while

Ramsey is setting himself up to lose everything.
The specialist is to determine if Ramsey is faking.

What a maroon.

Keep him on the active roster, and when the team's doctors clear him and he still refuses to play, start fining and suspending him.

That's one of the reasons I think he's not faking.  The other reason is, I don't see what he has to gain by faking.   Right now, he's saying, in effect, "If I was well I would play."  If he wants to put pressure on the team by refusing to play, then he would refuse to play.  But he's not doing that.

Sad part if if we lose, he gets leverage.

Hopefully we can win this weekend and put the heat on him

The only jersey I ever bought was Byron Leftwich, right before he got released.  That taught me, if I ever buy another jersey, it'll be a retired player like Boselli or Fred Taylor.

Meh....I'm skeptical....but having tweaked my back several times over the years, once while simply hitching my pants one morning, it can be bad. Like having to roll to the side and swinging your legs down just to get out of bed. Once, it was so bad I would stand when I went to Dr's office instead of sitting because it was too tough to get back up.
So ....I'm torn.....want to believe but, timing is so dang coincidental.
Seeing a specialist is probably best thing...time to run the scans and all that will show a problem if  there is one.
FWIW ....it would be hard for me to even think of several plane rides when I was suffering the worst ones.

Self preservation. Staying healthy for his next team, all while making a point that he’s played his last game in a Jags uniform. I have a feeling that if he were traded today, he would somehow become miraculously healed from all of his ailments.

The team sending Ramsey to a specialist is pretty much the Jags doctors and trainers saying “We can’t find any issue with your back. Let’s send you to an expert for a 2nd opinion.” If/when the specialist clears him, what’s next? A pulled hamstring? A strained neck?

Most likely a torn vag and a bruised ego...
