FIRE WASH NOW.

How do they run 1 play 50 times in a game and you don't have an answer for it? You sit back in stupid zone coverage most of the time instead of moving the LBs up to the line and run blitzing to stop the play. You just leave the LBs sitting back doing nothing. I knew going in Wash was going to sit back and not bring pressure. Watson kills that defense and they did it today with 1 play.

I just can't believe they were that stupid. 1 play they had the DL split wide, leaving the middle wide open, and didn't blitz or bring anyone up the middle. Guess what Watson did, he ran it right up the huge hole in the middle. I called before the snap. This stupid coaching has to go.

On offense again stupid play calls just like the last game against the Texans.

Oh ok, so you hate it when the Jags get into the playoffs and make a run. Got it. Not sure if you understand the meaning of the word "fan" though.

But Minshew wasn't pressured for most of the game.  The first sack wasn't until the 4th quarter.

The OL was not the issue in this game.

I don't know if you are wrong for believing that, but he sure as hell hasn't played at the All Pro level he was his last year in Carolina.  Whether that's because he lost his motivation after getting the big deal, undisclosed health issues, inferior coaching or what is to be determined.

He wasn't getting hit necessarily but he was getting pressure pretty regularly. I think he was intentionally trying to get the ball out more quickly resulting in less accuracy, the ball was definitely all over the place today.

Some of it was pressure but some of it was definitely him feeling phantom pressure too.

As to the emphasized portion above, I have the opposite viewpoint.

Obviously the quick screens, etc were designed for him to get rid of the ball quickly.

But there were way too many plays where Minshew held the ball for an excessive amount of time.  It's as if the part of his game that features movement in the pocket became a caricature of itself today.  I agree completely that his accuracy was an issue, especially late in the game, where it seemed to fall off a cliff.

I wish I knew what those plays were designed to do against particular coverages.

The way I see things now, I am inclined to blame Minshew more than the OL or playcalling, though neither of those other things were flawless.  I'm betting for whatever reason, he started to drop his eyes and watch the rush.  I'm betting there were open receivers he missed.

This is what I was getting at in my answer to HB1148, though you put it more concisely.

how many weeks in a row now have jags had trouble gettign a td when in the red zone. at least 4. yes they got in last week againest the jets at end of the game. the other td came from the defense. you do't win football games kicking only fgs.

Very true. I have to say this was a very sad game to see things come crashing down. That said, we still have seven games to go, So hopefully we can rebound. I’m not thinking will make the playoffs, but at least we can make it interesting. You guys can have some of my teal colored Kool-Aid.

Minshew is the QB of the future, but we saw all rookie today. The Texans and Saints figured him out, he needs to learn why. It's almost, but not quite, lucky that he had a bad game. I think he made the decision to go with Foles an easy one.

Anyone else think playcalling sucks?

I mean that terrible PI call on DJ pretty much was the end of the game.

Just wanted to complain for a minute

I seriously doubt any weatherman makes a million dollars.

There is blame all around, play calling, poor scheming of players open (rub routes, etc), Minshew not seeing guys & holding the ball, guys not getting open, etc. Jaguars looked like it was their first ever trip to London.

My thoughts from today's game...

This idiot ref should never be able to officiate another NFL game, EVER again.

Out right criminal that they can constantly make terrible decisions/calls week after week and there's ZERO accountability...

Hey man, we gotta be careful to not mess up the turf with direct helmet contact like that. Do you have any idea how hard it is to repair a divot the size of Campbell’s helmet?

That’s $20 in grass seed right there.

OT: you can’t help but see a trend with bad calls. I’m not saying the game is completely fake like wrastling, but I can’t say some of these calls are legit either. As a jags fan you can’t help but think the fix is in sometimes.

Oh I agree completely.

It's not just us though, the officiating is at an all time low, league wide. It's a flat out disgrace and the NFL doesn't do anything but fine anybody/everybody who brings it up/talks about it.

I see a couple problems:

OC is not consistent. He calls a good game then follows it up with a bad game. One game he let's Minshew shine and the next he cuffs him all game until we're down 3 scores.

Need more beef in the interior DL. Not enough stuffed runs.

Myles Jack plays MLB like a WLB. He meets NO ONE in the hole! Place him outside and start one of the backups who are actually experienced as MLB.

The OC called a game as if Watt and Clowney were suited up...
