I no longer blame Ramsey for leaving

#1

As a player you have only so many good years. Why waste them toiling in incompetence? I believe he acknowledged the garbage players we have on this team and decided to bail.

This show is on Caldwell! There's a bad connection between what the coach's want to do and having the players to do it.

A running team? How with only one rb? When you're a running team you have a stable of rbs who all can get the job done. Jags should've been the 1st to jump on Shady Mccoy.

Why was Marrone not given more depth at lb.? How are you a defensive team with no LB's???

How are you a defensive team WITH NO FREAKING SAFETIES!!!!

I understand your point, but Ramsey went on national media and did an interview with ESPN, and lied about his injury, and also about what was “said” to him in a meeting. He couldn’t handle Coughlin demanding him not to act like a 5 year old... therefore in my opinion he had no place on this team. I understand not wanting to waste your prime on a bad team, however, the fashion in which he left was incredibly disrespectful and careless to this team and city, and I personally will never forgive him for it. Good luck in 5-6 years when your natural ability starts sliding and your bad attitude makes you not even worth it anymore.

I'm with you.  Even if we can relate to him wanting to leave the team, he lied and slandered to get that done.  It was him sitting that made Dave pull the trigger on the trade.  He didn't have to lie about why he was sitting.  He didn't have to tell stories about what was said behind closed doors.  Just, "I don't want to play for this team, I think they're wasting my talent, I've brought it up multiple times and it doesn't change."
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

Wanting out is one thing.

Forcing it to happen unprofessionally and selfishly is another thing.

I get it. I just don't respect it.

Loyalty over everything.  If he would've said he doesnt want to play for these coaches but loves the team, that would've been acceptable.  Him acting childish is why everyone is po'd.  Most knew the coaches sucked before he said anything and some knew the FO was making stupid decisions with money.  Fans just preferred he bash them only but still want to stay if changes are made by the end of the year.

Boo hoo. Remember, 31 teams a year make the wrong moves. 31 every year. Only 1 can say they did enough right each year. Yes, you have a select few teams who have better chances than others every year, but at the end of the day you only have 1 champion. Ramsey is supposed to be a pro, and he acted out the way an amateur, a baby, a child would. I wonder how he's going to feel about LA when they finish 7-9 or 6-10. They have the 49ers, Hawks, Boys, and the Cards 2x. They will be lucky to get to 8-8. Then they have their cap issue, and have to contemplate signing Jalen to a top CB contract, while playing like a middle of the road corner. Good. Riddance.

Coughlin has ruined this team/franchise twice now... As long as he's around here, nothing is going to get better, its only going to get worse and worse.

It’s funny reading the Rams forums, they are all embarrassed by Ramsey and wishing they had not traded away their future firsts.

It's funny that the Ramsey Apologists have been quiet this week.

If we never traded Ramsey what would our record be today? I'm going to say the same, I think we would have the same record

That’s the problem with that position... it just isn’t critical to have a top tier corner for winning. Nice but not worth what Ramsey wants $$ wise.

You need bouye types that fly under the radar and don’t break the bank.

Bouye was made one of the highest paid CBs in the league a couple years ago when he signed. He's still currently the 7th highest paid CB in the league and he averages around $15.5m per season. That's not chump change.

And I would take Bouye at 15 mil over Ramsey at 25 or whatever crazy number he wants.

Lol Ramsey isn't going to get 25m per year. It doesn't matter if he thinks he wants that or not.

The highest paid current CB signed a 5 year $75.25m this past off season (2019). Bouye is 5 year, $67.5m, which he signed a couple of seasons ago.

Ramsey will probably get like 5 year, $77-80m. Because as always, the salary cap increases every season and so does the contracts.

Yeah- at this point Bouye is 8th or 9th highest paid, and personally I think he can definitely be a shut down corner.

We don’t need a top paid corner on the team.

He's the 7th highest paid CB currently and he signed in the off season, before the 2017 regular season.

You know what is "Scust....."? This kind of play from Ramsey is Scust....

I've posted it in the Rams Watch thread so as I fully read this thread, I feel that it is deserving of being reposted. Ramsey has already given up on the team that traded multiple draft picks for him. Thank You Very Much. When a player fakes an injury, lies on the establishment, lies to his new team and plays like this, he's Not Worthy no matter how good he is.

See A.B.

I doubt it if Jalen resigns w/the Rams because he's Already given up on them. I feel that it was part of their scheme (he and his agent) to get out of Jax, temporarily land elsewhere until they find their final destination.

i.e. KC in my honest opinion.

Regardless, he's no longer an Jaguar and I personally am satisfied. We don't need players such as himself regardless of his abilities. As for bashing the front office for other's deficiencies, that's not the right thing to do w/respect to being a fan. It happens and it'll continue to happen but if we the fans actually knew what is truly the best option(s) for an franchise, we'd be sitting in the front office getting bashed ourselves. IJS. Also we had depth at the LB positions (remember the injuries, poor play?), we also have our projected starting safeties in place (remember how they played so well that we jettisoned the previous starter's?). And finally, what about Telvin?

NH3...
