EVPFO Tom Coughlin speaks to the media

C'mon Coughlin. You have to give the fans some help. The fans started Minshew Mania, theres been nothing else to get excited or feel positive about.

The best way out of this mess is keeping everything the same.... Wallbash

It's - Too - Late , Tom.

The press conference came across as arrogance pretending to be remorseful.

This season was supposed to make reparations for last season.  I’m sure many interpreted Khan’s words before the season to mean playoffs was a do or die goal.

To have TC come out like this and cite a bunch of insignificant, individual moral victories then lay some responsibility for the Jag’s success over the last 5 meaningless games on the fans took a lot of gall and showed just how out of touch he actually is with reality.

The goal, Tom, was to get this team back into the playoffs, or at least close.  You failed to achieve either.  Now step aside and let someone else have their try.

This team is just noncompetitive on both sides of the ball. Bad coaching and multiple holes in the roster

Kinda of like when they made him do the Winn Dixie commercial back in the day.  Smells like victory.

I think we need to give Coughlin 1 more year before we decide what we want to do. He may retire before hen, though.

You can't give Coughlin another year. It's detrimental to this team enough as it is already with him in that building. He's a football coach. Not a EVPFO. He signed off on drafting Fournette. He signed off on extending Bortles. He signed off on Norwell. He signed off on Jack's extension and Fole's contract. He's also signed off on some trades like Hyde, Kessler & Dobbs that ultimately served little to no impact to this football team.

I still don't understand why Khan hired him here and decided to keep David Caldwell after the fact as well. Made no sense then. Makes even less sense now. This experiment is over. They need someone from completely out of this area to come in here. A transplant from a winning organization of recent memory and someone who can evaluate this mess and clean it up before we fall behind again and miss the next big NFL trend of how things should be done.

It was fun for awhile. Now its just dried out. Time to leave it behind us to rot.
