Once again AFC south is wide open (JJ Watt to IR)

(This post was last modified: 09-28-2016, 12:36 PM by J-Mizzal.)

Last year it was Luck, now Watt, the two best players on the best teams, we didnt take advantage of it last year and so far this year we are not taking advantage of it.

But since this division sucks so bad, 0-3 does not rule us out of winning it, it could prob be won with a 7-9 record lol

We have to beat Indy and regroup at the bye then come with a win vs Chi, which will be the legit first easy game, tho anything can happen in the NFL, but 2-3 would be very nice coming home in a big game vs JDR and the Raiders.

This news would be relevant to the Jags if we were good, I have no faith this team will be able to take "advantage" of Watts injury. We're the same team that didn't take advantage of the inept QB play in our division last year.

Yup, we win this Sunday, the offense gets confidence, we can make a run for the division, playoffs.

Lol, last year once Luck got hurt the QBs in the division were Hasselbeck/Whitehurst, Hoyer, and a rookie in Mariota. Those 3 teams could have replacement players come in at all positions and the Jags wouldn't win.

This year, Brock is looking pretty shaky, but Houston still will be good without Watt in my opinion. We know what the Titans are all about, they are going to run the ball. So far we been ok against the run, but haven't faced anything like the Titans. Colts suck at almost every position on defense. Apart from Vontae Davis is there anything there? On offense it is all Andrew Luck and the TY and Dorsett show.

Then you look at the coaches. Mularkey and Pagano, they suck. They are two coaches Gus actually has a shot against, and its unreal they are in the same division. Bill O'Brien got worked by Belichick, but is a far better coach than anyone in the division.

If real changes occur after the bye, you could make a reasonable argument that with two weeks of solid coaching and game planning the team could come back from 0-4 in this division.

I think Watt isn't necessary this season with Clowney coming on and that beast Mercilus! Watt hasn't been himself and not much of a factor. Their CBs seem to be playing better as well. Their weakness in on offense even with Fuller and Hopkins. Not worried about the titans. Colts are meh. In my opinion, this is one of the weakest years in the south.

Watt may never be the same. It wouldn't surprise me if he becomes "just a guy" from here forward.

What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

Gotta win the division games, starting with the Colts in London.

Can you imagine the implosion on this board when we are getting walloped by Indy this weekend and Gus is doing his infamous "hands on knees" on the sideline?

Hands on knees poses have absolutely nothing to do with how good or bad Gus Bradley is as a head coach.

You know what's funny about the hands on knees thing? The press conference after when a reporter asks what happened and Gus says "we'll have to look at the film to see what happened there". I'm convinced Gus is staring into a daze.

It has been scientifically proven that hand position on body affects coaching.
