You know that Coughlin was fired, right?

There was also they gave him way too much time.  He should of been gone after year 2.

Absolutely Gus Bradley should have been gone after year 2.

But I put the blame on Khan. The only logical reason to not fire Gus Bradly after (at most) year 3 was that the Jags made a promise to Bradley to let him get a full four years. This make sense given that Bradley had his choice of jobs and the Jags roster was down to Poz, Monroe, and 51 warm bodies. Apparently Khan felt honor-bound to keep his promise, putting integrity ahead of the fans.

Back to Wash. He did a great job as DL coach, and maybe that clouds Marrone's judgement. In 2017 he had a defense with 11 Pro Bowl caliber players. Even an average DC should be able to do as well or better with that roster. He was a huge upgrade over Bob Babich (again maybe a factor in clouding Marrone's judgement) but that's like dividing by zero. Wash doesn't do a good job tailoring the defense to the opponent, basically he just runs the same defense every week. The Jags had losses on defense last season, but that's true of most teams. It's a poor excuse.

And we still need a competent OL coach.
