Nearly 3 years later, FBI director admits surveillance of Trump team was illegal

The 2016 act of surveillance on a member of President Donald Trump's campaign team was in fact illegal,  FBI Director Christopher Wray acknowledged last week.

I wonder if they use this to overturn convictions that wouldn't have happened without the illegal surveillance and false reports?

This could have a huge trickle-down effect for Gen. Flynn.

Seems obvious that they should. Even an admission to any crime would be thrown out at this point.

The headline does not match the text of the article.
A member of Congress specifically asked director Wray if the thing was "illegal" and director Wray replied that it was "unacceptable."

You need to read the article again.

Wray confirmed that the report acknowledged illegal surveillance. He then goes on to say that they have accepted every finding in the report.

Wray said the conduct was unacceptable when asked if it represented fraud on the court.

You are combining two separate points being made.

Nah, do it now. In fact, demand national prime television air time on all the networks to do it. That'll be the straw that breaks their backs.
