That's a huge loss. RIP.

One of the classiest guys professional sports has ever seen.

When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

If true, I hope he's found peace.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Very sad news.

I'm at best a casual golf fan but Arnold Palmer was someone who transcended his sport.   In large part because he was a great person.

This is something the golf world has been preparing for during the last few months due to his failing health. He was the epitome of an icon. Even people who disliked golf knew who Arnold Palmer was. A real giant of the sport and Americana is gone.

I've heard more stories in my life about what a nice guy Arnold Palmer is/was than I have about anyone else in the world.  Time after time, about how a request for an autograph turned into a 5 minute conversation.   I read one story about a foursome who went on a golf trip to Orlando, encountered Arnold Palmer in a restaurant, and wound up having lunch with him.   Just an incredibly nice guy.   Born poor, living next to a golf course he couldn't afford to play.  Years later, he bought that golf course.  Friends with common people and Presidents.  What a guy.

He did not look well as of late and it was a shame when he couldn't hit the ceremonial tee shot at Augusta this year. RIP King!

RIP Arnold.  Your good deeds will carry on in your absence.

Wow. Sad news.

He was the definition of class. He was a saint.

Watching all the tributes on the Golf Channel from the many golfers and writers he touched over the years brought me to tears many times. Sadly, I never watched him play. I saw all the other greats of those times; Jack, Gary, Chi Chi, Lee, Casper, Seve, Johnny, et. al. but somehow the tournaments I attended Arnie was not playing.

RIEP!
