2021 - NFL Mock Draft Simulator

#1

Yeah. I did it already. Only three rounds available but this is how it turned out.

RD1 P1: Trevor Lawrence - QB - Clemson - Based on this simulator I am going to assume the entire team obviously [BLEEP] the bed and that's including Minshew. We take the "generational" passer here.

RD1 P16: Samuel Cosmi - OT - Texas - Again, if we [BLEEP] the bed in 2020 and Minshew struggled it's more than likely due to injuries and failed progression at the LT position. Robinson out. Cosmi in.

RD2 P42: Kyle Pitts - TE - Florida - Came off a big year last year and very well could end up being good enough to be a 1st RD pick. But I stole him here in RD2.

RD3 P65: Chuba Hubbard - RB - Oklahoma State - I was a fan of this guy last year and was looking forward to him had he declared for 2020's draft. Very smart to go back to school. He'll end up being one of the more well rounded RB's in next year's class. Probably a steal in RD3 and with Fournette probably gone after this year? We need some help.

I don't think Hubbard makes it to the 3rd. Hubbard, Etienne, Harris, etc. Another deep RB class

Could you imagine if we get another first for Yann? We could go into next year with 3 first round picks and 120M in cap room.

1 - Trevor Lawrence QB
1 - Alex Leatherwood/Trey Smith OL
1 - Kyle Pitts TE
2 - Travis Etienne

I have my traditional hated teams (tacks, Steelers, Texans).

But this year, I add the Rams to this list. Even though I think they did some decent things in the draft, I will root against them in 2020 with every fiber of my being.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

Rams are picking top 10. Book it. If Goff misses any time, the drop off w/their backup is huge. The Cardinals should overtake them for #3. The defense is now really thin. It's Donald, Ramsey and a bunch of scrubs.

Based on the top 10 pick, the Ramsey trade is going to get Snead fired.

Going to do an optimistic mock draft and assume the Jags go 8-8 and the Rams net is a top 3 pick.

1a - Penei Sewell OT - Best OT prospect time come out in a long time
1b - Kyle Pitts TE - TE/WR hybrid that would be an amazing fit for Gruden’s offense
2 - Max Borghi RB - Plays like a poor mans McCaffrey. Reunited him with Minshew
3 - Erik Stokes CB - Another CB to add to Herndon, Henderson, and Scott
4 - Charles Snowden LB - 6’7” LB who is very good in coverage.
4 - TJ Slaton - Massive NT to replace Al Woods
5 - Calvin Ashley OT - Another massive OT, which Marrone seems to like
6 - Aubrey Solomon DT - Penetrating DT to backup Taven
7 - Chris Elmore FB/DT - 292lber who plus FB and DL. Think Ricard from the Ravens

We’d also have 100M to throw around for someone like Chris Jones. Maybe we could also bring Derrick Henry home so he can stop terrorizing us.

This is a great haul. No way Freirmuth makes it to round 3, although not playing this season will drop him to round 2.

This is sweet.

Done some reading and some "experts" have Lance ahead of the Fields in some mock drafts.

Looking at next year's free agency and draft, my dream off-season with player personnel, would be the following.

Free Agency
DJ Hayden (CB)
Justin Simmons (FS)
Brandon Scherff (RG)

Draft
Penei Sewell (LT)
Rondale Moore (WR)
Travis Etienne (RB)
Trey Smith (LG)
Trey Hill ©
Tyler Shelvin or Tedarrell Slaton (NT)
TJ Vasher (WR)

Our 2nd rounder from Min looking good.

Rams on the other hand look a lot better, Goff actually looks good again. Those 2 picks could end up being a few picks apart.

Yeah as of right now the Rams pick is looking to be 15-20 at best.
The Vikes 2nd is looking like top 5. So we'll probably end up with two firsts between 10 and 25 and two seconds between 33 and 50.

Still not bad though. Depending how the college season shakes out we could get solid additions to pass rush and back 7 in those picks.

Very good draft. I agree with your emphasis on the defensive line. If Basham and Twyman are both available at these spots, they'd turn our D-Line from a current liability to a strength. Adding Tufele in the 4th would provide quality depth. Vincent and Stevens would be great additions to the secondary and Eichenberg would be a steal in round 3.

I would only make one change to your draft. Our tight end position looks better this year with the addition of Eifert, but he is past his prime and always a risk to get hurt. If Freirmuth, Pitts or possibly Brevin Jordan make it to the 2nd round, they would be my choice. Ideally, Vincent would still be available with the additional pick in round 2.

None of those TE's made it to our second pick in round 2 and Vincent was too good a corner to pass up. If they would've made it to pick #43 I would've drafted one of them.

We have to draft Pitts to complete our offense

He was gone early in my draft and we need big pass rushers on the edge and inside to get to opposing QB's. I wouldn't pass up Basham and Twyman for any player right now.
