Obviously this is ideal but just not likely. If Minshew plays really well, wouldn’t that lead to Jags wins?

Not if the defense gives up more points than the other teams.

As I said previously, I expect our offense (which didn't lose anything but did gain some in the offseason) to improve.
And our defense was pretty much trash last year with Calais and AJ Bouye, so I don't think losing those guys is really going to kill us in the way you doom and gloomers think.

We didn't have Ramsey for most of the year. We didn't have Dareus most of the year. Allen didn't get nearly as many snaps as he deserved because of Yan and Calais and he being a rookie.
Yan might actually still suit up for us this year, it isn't a forgone conclusion that he's going to sit out.

With just an average defense we should be able to at least compete with .500 and sub .500 teams. And as "tough" as our schedule looks on paper right now, I see plenty of those teams.
Will teams like Packers, Raven, and Vikings beat us easily? Yeah, probably.
But the Lions, Bears, Browns, Bengals (even with Joe Burrow), River-less Chargers, Dolphins... they aren't scaring anyone.

And to think that we're going to go 0-6 in division is just asinine.
Those games, no matter how bad the teams are on either side, tend to be closer hard fought games. And the tinhorns didn't get better this off season.
