Off subject, but I don’t know if I trust the lower case version of you ? something is suspicious.

Let's keep the spidery stuff to the politics section, thanks.

We pull a UCF and declare ourselves super bowl champions.

Exactly. This flu is going to exit the news cycle on Nov. 4 when it's no longer useful to stoke fear. Suddenly we'll be talking about some other crisis.

Seriously doubt there is a season. The NFL players union is going to have issues as well. I know if I was a player, I would be scared to death playing in Florida looking at how poorly the state is doing with the virus. Let alone Texas, California, Arizona, and other states that seem to be heading in the wrong direction. This virus can and does long term damage to certain patients.

None of the players are elderly and at great risk of mortality, unless they have COPD or asthma or some underlying condition.

If you’re scared to death, you need to lay off the 24/7 news cycle.

That would be a media driven goal to be dunzo over a few flu cases and nonsensical but sadly believable for a profession willing to cut off its own food supply to make hay for the long struggle.

I like your thinking!

But i think i would be better off just deeming us the "worst team" and receive the 1st pick, that way we can build for the future. A Super Bowl Champion title with an asterisk can only make you feel so good.

Dude you really need to keep up with the news and not bury your head in the sand.  Yes you are more likely to survive if you are younger but it does not guarantee anything.  The doctor who discovered the virus died in his 30's.  If you read out in California, New Jersey, Florida, and Texas there are plenty of young people dying from this virus.

Even if you survive, some people have long term damage to their lungs from covid-19.  That means the end of their career.  There is 11 guy's on each side of the field in a huddle, sweating, bleeding, spitting etc.  Many players can't obey the rules now.  Can you trust 53 men on each team to self quarintine.  All it will take is one player to spread it to one team for there to be a game over.

Dr. Fauci, the world reknown virus expert.  Stated last week he believed the virus may have mutated to be even more contagious.  The USA is setting daily records every day and not just "because of more testing," that the sleezy politicians want you to believe.  The perecentages of test coming out positive are skyrocketing as well.  By August or September this whole country could be shut back down.  The situation is not improving and it is getting worse every day.  It would take a miracle for there to be an NFL season.

News release today that positive cases are overstated by tens of thousands because of flawed test kits. No matter what number you look at or who it's from it's quite likely that it's wrong.

Depends on the vaccine, imo. Never had a flu shot in my life. Gotten the flu like twice ever.
Had to have certain vaccines to progress through public school system, as have my children, like MMR and Hep.
Newer vaccines like the chicken pox vax I wouldn't have my kids get.
A Covid-19 vaccine (that would be the first ever created for any coronavirus) that is rushed out in less than a year or so, I won't be taking for sure.

My general premise behind being cautious about vaccines is more why put something in your body you don't have to including thimerosal, aluminum, antibiotics, egg proteins, formaldehyde, MSG, polysorbate 80, and a few other things that make the science of vaccines possible.

But to each their own I say... it's your body, put in it what you want.
And if a vaccine will put an end to this nonsense and bring back football,  I'm all for a bunch of people taking it.

I know of people who are pro vaccination and get their flu shot regularly who also said they won't be getting a COVID-19 vaccine anytime soon. They want to wait at least a few years to see how safe/effective it might be. Even if they do come up with a vaccine we still we will have people that won't take it for various reasons. I do wonder when and how a potential vaccination might work out. And how many people will really get vaccinated once we have a vaccine.

I think that a lot of these people talking about how they want things shut down until we get a vaccine, probably don't even get a flu shot regularly. I wonder how many of them will even get a flu shot this upcoming season. (And I am interested in seeing if there is a big increase in the number of flu shots that are taken this upcoming season.)

I do think that we could get an NFL season. At the very least start a season. I think how successful other leagues are in launching/relaunching their seasons (like the NBA/MLB) could also play a role in what happens with the NFL. If one or both of these leagues can have successful seasons, that could bode well for the NFL. (And give them ideas on how to deal with their own season). The Basketball tournament has been going on in a successful manner and they will be playing their championship game tonight. They have shown that team sports can on in some capacity even if it's in a really restrictive way.

Also, I think that if a bunch of players initially test positive as the NFL starts to prepare for their season, that could put a damper on things, but they stated they are prepared for possibly a lot of positive tests. And if they catch the diagnosis of the players early enough, they could recover by the time the season begins.

I think I will stick with Fauci,  You know the one with the medical degree's and specialist.  Many of these politicians are pushing "fake news" out there as well.

The real honest answer is we don't know.  It's a new virus and still learning much about it.  I guess the question is if you want to gamble your life or lively hood?  I will stay safe as possible and do what I can to avoid it.

Florida sadly is now the new epic center. And that it is due to those in the not social distancing or that of wearing a mask. That is making it very hard for those that do. Increasing of cases.

Who is saying this?  The right wing gazeete?  I have read 0 credible news sources say that there are tens of thousands of flaw test.  With any test there are  false positives and negatives. That is why they can never proclaim a test 100% accurate.

Lets for arguments sake, take the positive test numbers out of the equation.  How do you explain hospitals being over run in many states now and the death rate going Up?   I really hope that news  source is reliable.

The Major news sources that most people listen to report the same story.  Cases have seen a big uptick in positive cases in 39 states as of yesterday.  Some states, their hospitals are at full capacity and do not have enough beds.  Other states are reaching capacity.

Again if you want to stick your head in the sand it is your choice but be educated.
