I wish I could understand you guys. Like really I do. I just don’t see how in the world you look at Trump and think “yeah he’s great! He’s bringing people together, racism doesn’t exist, these kids aren’t being locked in cages, federal officials are taking people off the streets with no probable cause, but hell you gotta keep the peace right?” 

How are you guys this passive to what’s going on? It makes no sense, even if you are a life long republican. Is there anyone out there on the message board, That can reasonably And rationally tell me why They want Trump?

Let me preface by saying I voted 3rd party in 2016.

Trump has the right message.  You may not want to hear that but essentially it is true.  Make America Great Again.  Put America first when dealing with the rest of the world.  Stop carrying the load for our allies, let them pay their share.  Bring jobs that have been sent overseas back to America and strengthen the middle class.  Drain the swamp.  Get these career politicians and the lobbyists that control them out of Washington.  Give the country back to the people.  Honestly can any rational American argue with that message?  

Trump also has another quality in he can’t be bought.  He may be self serving and everyone I know that supports him is completely aware of that.  Doesn’t change the fact that he is an outsider and is not influenced by the normal DC Bureaucracy.

Counter that with Biden who has been an inside the beltway politician for going on 50 years and tells us every chance he gets that Trump after being a politician for less than 4 years is what is wrong with the country and he is going to fix it.  He has had nearly 50 years to fix Washington but NOW he is finally going to do it.   

You are 100% correct that Trump has all the couth and finesse of the proverbial bull in a china shop.  The fact that 4 years later the left refuses to even consider the appeal of what a Donald J. Trump brings to a large portion of the country is exactly why he gets so much support.  Heck the left is so oblivious that they are doubling down and going even farther to the left.

To surmise, Trump warts and all offers something that no career politician can, something different.
