The reporter obviously didn't read the manuals....or read the books.

You clearly are not in tune with Trump's latest method of ending pressers when people get nasty, thus ruining it for the real journalists in the room who never get to their question.

This is funny. I finally got around to watching that press conference, and that is not how I would describe it at all. I can see how someone might describe it like that, but it sure does leave out a lot of context.

How would you describe it? Trump was clearly trying to move on to a different reporter but when he was pressed to answer why he lied, he ended the press conference.

Holding someone accountable for lying is only nasty to liars.

I would describe it as him losing patience with a reporter that won't yield her time. Trump is just is more likely to answer a question badly than he is to run from it. The dude is a narcissist. Viewing it from that lens, he is more annoyed at being disrespected than he is at the question being asked, and that is what played out.

He tried moving on from her for about 15 seconds after answering he question. He's already getting frustrated because she won't quit asking him the same question, and he asks another reporter to go. Then she comes out with a new question, and the reporter he's calling on won't ask him anything new, so he leaves. If she had led with the question about veteran's choice, and he was ducking it from the start, I could see the narrative that was presented in the original post. However the way it played out looked more like Trump just bailing due to a hostile press. Again, I can see how some one might draw the conclusion that was drawn above, but I don't think it's the most reasonable conclusion.

When he gets caught making an incorrect or unsupportable statement, he simply refuses to respond to the question.  When pressed, he walks away from reporters, rather than admitting his error or allowing his own embarrassment to continue.

He's incredibly insecure and egotistical, but this is nothing new, he's been doing it ever since he announced his candidacy.  Why is anyone surprised?

I'm just glad that the politicians on our side like, Nancy, Chuck, and Durban have never lied or done anything contrary to good ethical behavior.  Whatever they say is always for the benefit of the people.
