Im confused is this Trumps or Bidens America?

#1

Now, the major talking point of the RTP (Republican Trump Party), is that this is "Bidens America." This reminds me of when Trump continued to chant "lock her up" at rallies even 2 years after he won. Its like dude, you did it, you won, youre the president, stop golfing every week.

Trump supporters cite these three things:

- Biden WANTS to defund the police (hint he doesnt, https://www.reuters.com/article/uk-factc...SKCN252248)

- radical left cancel culture want to limit my free speech (https://www.timesofisrael.com/biden-camp...ch-rights/)

- these crazy rioters destroying shops (https://reason.com/2020/08/31/joe-biden-...blm-trump/)

^Some non-MSM articles for you, hell even the last one is a right leaning news outlet.

Now Trump wants to DEFUND cities that dont support him? Are you kidding me?

We have seen an increase in death, crime, historic unemployment, rise in white supremacy, and severed relations between our own people in Trump's America. To put it in the words of Trump: SAD.

I know we wont get anywhere with this thread, because facts don't have any merit, and most (not all) Trump supporters live in a denial reality.

I ask you, how is this anyone BUT, Trumps America? It's utter chaos.

I dont need an article to tell me that Trump has actually convinced most of you that you are currently living in Bidens America, but heres an article anyway (https://www.vox.com/2020/8/27/21404029/m...-joe-biden)

People react with their subconscious and their emotions, and they come up with reasons later.
in this country, Democrats think it's just the Republicans who think this way, and Republicans think it's just the Democrats who think this way
But what I'm describing is pretty much universal to humanity, except maybe for like two or three percent of us that you might call stoics or brahmins. I'm not in that category. I freely admit that I hate him because he's a negative role model and always refuses to say the right thing. But just because my mind went searching for these reasons out of hatred, does not mean that the reasons are incorrect
On the face of it, Trump trying to blame Biden for literally any problem that we see in America today, is ridiculous. He has been president for three and a half years. The economy was partly good luck, the virus is partly bad luck, but literally nothing is Biden's fault. If something is anybody's fault, it would be trump's. Trump has had plenty of time to correct anything that might have been Obama's fault.
This is obvious, to the uninvested outside observer. Logic does not allow other possibilities.
But for the mind that is invested, that is attached to Trump, is devoted to him, that mind hungers for tangible reasons to feel that way, even if they're incorrect or illogical.
"Blame Biden for the violence you see today"
"We have the most confirmed cases because we test the most"
"You can bring that disinfectant inside the body"

One guy wants the rioters locked up, the other one posted their bail. Pretty easy to know who is who.

1/3 of troops think there’s a rise...2/3 don’t. Last time I checked 2/3 > 1/3.

Incorrect. 1/3 say they have witnessed.

So you want more than half to witness or admit to witnessing before you acknowledge an issue? Wow.

1)  It takes more than a news article to establish facts.

2)  Did you bother to read either story?   From the first;
Cassie Miller, a research and investigations specialist for the Southern Poverty Law Center, said the Military Times poll findings should not come as a surprise.  "Historically, this has been a problem for the military,” she said in an interview. “We’ve been pushing the Defense Department to take this issue more seriously since 1986.
Is Trump now responsible for everything since 1986?

3)  From the second;
Racist violence is both “on the rise and spreading geographically,” the report stated, as white supremacists “increasingly target” minority groups like immigrants, religious minorities, LGBTQ people and “other perceived enemies.”
Discrimination against persons because of immigrant status, religious beliefs and sexual orientation is not racial discrimination.
When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

There is no rise in racism. It's the same as it ever was. It's just that the racists are way more open about their feelings now. We have a president who says and does whatever he wants and those people are following his lead. Racism is in the headlines every day now and it's giving the illusion that there is a rise. It's just that the racists are getting pointed out now via camera phones and social media. Racism will never stop no matter what is done. It's in certain people's DNA. You can try to "educate" people all you want, but if they don't want to hear the message, it's just gonna go in one ear and out the other. These protests and social justice campaign ads aren't gonna make a difference.

Way more open equals more racism surely?

Or do you mean there isnt more racists? At which point you are probably right, unfortunately there is a rise of racism that is enabled by the president as you say.

I agree.
But the world was more tolerable back when the racists were hiding their racism.
If we can get back to a President who shows restraint and humility, we will go back to a time when less racism was out in the open.

You're right, this is Trump's America.  It's just that it doesn't mean what you think it means.

Thanks to What's left of Federalism, the President isn't a king (Unless he's a Democrat, then all he needs is a pen and a phone.)  So that means that in reality a significant portion of policy is controlled @ the state level.  Death, you're obviously talking about Covid, Crime, Historic unemployment etc.  Where are those being driven. Largely they are being driven by NY NJ MI CON MA etc.  NY for example has the highest deaths per million in the world, driven largely by the most idiotic managerial decision in history.  Crime, just look at NYC, Chicago, LA etc.  What do all these things have in common?  Democrat rule!  So is it Trumps Fault that the criminal justice system in Oregon is "too mean" for actually holding people accountable and decided to eliminate pre-trial detention for dangerous criminals.  The gentlemen who shot the Patriot Prayer member in Portland was arrested several times for Gun possession at protests.  He should have been in jail.  These ideas of appeasing criminals are the exclusive province of the left.  Their failure is proof that their own inadequacy, not the Presidents.

Joe Biden has already promised that his goal will be to nationalize these policies.  Next wave of cases, he wants a TRUE national lockdown.  He wants to NATIONALLY eliminate cash bail.  And no matter what he says during his rare moments of Lucidity, AOC, OHMAR a PRESSLEY and the REAL HEADS of the Democrat party have already told you that YES they mean defunding police.  Ironically this shouldn't be controversial.   This goes back to the Bill Ayers world view formed in the radical 60's.  First you use race as a wedge to put society on edge, defund police, let the pre-existing capitalist structure eat itself, and build your socialist Utopia.  Like Shake and Bake for psychopaths.  What may be the most powerful political entity in the country by now is lead by his ideological descendants (BLM).

So yes, this is Trumps America.  Within Trumps America there are certain clusters of unchecked progressivism with predictable and disastrous results.  A Joe Biden/ Harris victory means that those same failed policies will be coming to a neighborhood near you faster than you can say furious.

Because it sets and example for state and local elections that what is happening isn't acceptable, which will follow suit.

Dont forget, the Democrats condoned this behavior until it showed up in the polls last week. That is a fact.

That's not true either.

The media is now willing to give them a platform to speak from in an attempt to discredit Trump.

We used to just point and laugh at them when they talked.. now it's, "this is Trump's fault"

I like what Will Smith said about racism... "Racism isn't increasing - it's just getting videotaped"

Racism being in DNA is the same argument as sexuality being in DNA. Both false and both a product of environment.
