The feds don't play around with child porn.  The arrests are immediate.  If they had a reliable chain of custody for that hard drive, and there was child porn on it, arrests would have been made long ago.
Either
There is no hint of CP on that computer
Or
They have no idea who added what data to it. 
Either way, it's a weaker story than you think.

Rudy turned over texts and pictures with the laptop to Delaware police. 14 year old confirmed. (Did he learn this behavior?)

Rudy is releasing info tomorrow. Alleges financial and other crimes are documented.

Person in jail has been moved and location is unknown. Emails are still on gmail servers, this isn't a laptop saved copy only.

Crimes also implicate Biden.



What are the odds Biden still shows up for the debate?

Speculation is the 14 year old was his niece.


Since the therapist, Biden, Jill knew this was happening, they all have a legal responsibility to report it. The therapist and Jill have to report it based on their jobs with no leeway. Biden may have an out for not reporting it.

I haven't really followed much of this case, but depending on the laptop and phone some people do.  Considering it's probably an iphone, and most people use iphones and use imessage, you can sending and receive imessages from your laptop and I believe it all updates real time based on your apple ID when you're logged in.  You may have to have a MAC to do that, but I know I've seen people doing it.

Rudy may be the only named source, but he has shared texts with state police and the FBI is finally looking at it. The FBI tried to hide it, but now they can't since it is out there. Notice no one is saying the laptop doesn't exist, the images and texts aren't real.

The arrests are not immediate. They have to apply for search warrants for the devices, court orders for the service provides, and subsequent search warrants for the information given to them from the providers. Then they have to apply for more search warrants for any and all accounts found related to the stuff they find on the computer. You're simply uninformed about this stuff.

As for your one or the other, why then would Giuliani also provide it to the Delaware State Police and the FBI if it didn't have it on there? FBI can determine exactly when and where it was uploaded to the hard drive. Certain things can make it more difficult, but they can conclusively determine if it was uploaded before or after it was given to the computer repair shop.

A government investigator does not need a warrant to look at things that the owner of the property has already voluntarily provided to them.  The story goes that the laptop was forfeited to the repair shop, then the repair shop voluntarily gave it to the FBI.  Is that story not true? Why would a warrant be needed if that story was true?
Now, they may want to access Hunter Biden's apple account to corroborate what they're finding on the hard drive, and yes that would take some time and a warrant.  But I'm pretty sure reputable cloud services employ AI-sniffers to flag possible child pornography so that can be voluntarily turned over to law enforcement, sometimes without alerting the offending user

Regardless - these hypotheticals have very little to do with the election.  Even if you showed that it was more likely than not that Hunter deliberately kept revealing nude photos of a 14 year old relative on his computer, you'd still have to show reason to believe Joe knew about it and didn't report, before anyone should care.

When a liberal politician’s son is accused by Rudy Giuliani of sexual misconduct and Giuliani has already issued an, “I’m full of [BLEEP],” clarification, you guys have the pitchforks, torches and hangin’ rope all set to go.

Wait, let me guess: Ford was obviously a lie from the start, but Giuliani making a claim about thousands of pictures of a family member involved in an affair, as absurd as the alleged Kavanaugh “gang rape”, is undoubtedly true?
