One thing I notice when i watch Jake Luton on tape..

I see a raw but talent QB who can not just throw the ball with accuracy but has a laser of an arm also.. His height 6-6 he can see the whole field which allows his arm to get deep shots down field.. I notice in alot of his tapes he aloows his receivers to get open before throwing the ball and its dead on everytime.. that UCLA game i saw he tore those guys up.. his arm totally took that game over..

I see a less polished Nick Foles. With that said and the season over, sure throw him in and see what he's got.

I think they use Mike Glennon and Luton as a backup.. They go with the veteran and keep letting the rookie learn.. Go with the guy thats been there done that..

This depth chart here has us with Conley, Chark, Shenault, Cole, Johnson in that order.. This runs off of our site which our is unofficial.. ours still has Leon Jacobs starting.. That is some serious height right there..

Makes sense to start him over Glennon this week. But I don't expect much. Too bad we can't give his size/arm to Minshew's intelligence/personality.

It's interesting to see where late round QBs lack. Minshew obviously lacked the ideal physical traits but excelled in his Football IQ. Luton has physical gifts, where's his NFL weakness? (I honestly haven't watched a single snap/highlight of Luton)

According to these guys his biggest knocks are average arm strength, doesn't go through progressions well, and his lower body mechanics.

To be honest I am not seeing the big arm most of you are seeing. I see a lot of floaters and receiver waiting to catch it. Wrong Luton lol?
