Ugh! No TV guys. When he was Director of Pro Personnel for the Redskins they made some horrendous draft picks. He got better when he held that position with the Eagles, but they didn't draft very well until the end of his tenure.

He's not a "TV guy" anymore than Gruden was a "TV guy" or Cowher is now a "TV guy" They are football guys.
Louis Riddick has a solid resume. And was never the guy making the calls at the top. He was one part of a machine. Also, he was working on the "pro personnel" side. Which means he mostly scouted free agents and who to retain within the organization. 

He had probably very little to do with the drafting of college guys within either org. However, from his time on TV his draft analysis and overall analysis of many players and teams has been pretty spot on.

But feel free to dig in your heels on this opinion too. I for one have been banging the Louis Riddick drum for a couple years now and would love to have him in our front office.

What's the Director of Pro Personnel have to do with making the draft picks?
