Didn't have to give up the farm like the Rams or team that gets Watson did.
Gave up relatively little while having the ideal guy in former coach Reich who may be able to fix him.

It's basically them drafting a QB this year in the 1st round (except Wentz has experience and if can be fixed will just be asked to game manage)

@...you say this about a guy with a 4.77 40 time?@

And yes, they will be spending their 2022 first round pick on a 29-year old (next season) QB, unless he misses time to injury. Grape job.

Yes, Grape job indeed, Mikey.

He's slow which is to be expected from such a giant but his 3 cone for such a big man is amazing.
6.86 3 cone.
That gave him agility in the pocket to extend plays but he may have lost that ability post knee injury.
People seem to be uncertain about that.

It was horrible.

This is what they gave up to get Wentz in the draft.

They signed him to a huge contract.  Their Super Bowl winning coach soured on him.  They fired the SB winning coach because of that, only to end up agreeing with the coach they fired, traded him away, and only then for a small fraction of what they paid to get him.

For Indy, it was a low risk, high reward pick.

If he bombs in Indy...no big loss.  A 3rd and a conditional 2.

If he suvveeds, it'll be well worth the price.

Yup exactly.  They traded the farm to get this guy and sold him for peanuts.

This is why you better be sure you are getting an elite HOF level QB if you are gonna trade the farm for them.
