Trevon Moehrig

Dude is clearly the best safety in the draft imo and I'd be more than happy with him at 25. With FA out of the way though, if he falls to 25 there is a very high chance, I'd say better than a 80% chance he makes it to 33. Every team after our pick has I very high quality FS. The only 2 teams id be worried about is the Ravens and KC. The Ravens tried hard to get a LJ a top WR in FA but no great WRs want to play with Jackson so I think it's a safe but they go WR or a defensive player in the front 7 with everyone they lost. KC I think is almost forced to take a OT with losing both of theirs. That said, if Moehrig does fall to 25 i think we will be safe taking another top player and then grabbing one of the best defensive players in the draft and still a need in Moehrig at 33.

He looks great for SS but we should package 25 and 33 for Darrisaw...lol

Dudes gonna be a great FS though. He has great range, flys all over the field, can play deep single high , can man up on a TE or come down In the box and hit the RB in the back field. I meant to put this in the college forum (03-19-2021, 06:50 PM)JaG4LyFe Wrote: He looks great for SS but we should package 25 and 33 for Darrisaw...lol This would be very tempting since Darrisaw is clearly the number 2 left tackle. What would be better- Moehrig and Freirmuth or Darrisaw? There is no way to know which would turn out better in the long run. It would be up to our key decision makers to determine whether Darrisaw would be worth this. Finding an elite left tackle is much more difficult than finding a safety or tight end so if they believe he's elite they should do this. They could still draft Brevin Jordan or Hunter Long in the 3rd round; by not getting Jonnu Smith or Henry they are "forced" to draft a tight end fairly high. It's frustrating that we're in the position where he would fill a need considering the FA that were available, but here we are. He'd be a fine pick at 25, but ideally we could get him at 33 after taking an OT at 25.
