I'm not taking a side when I ask this, but it has to be asked.  What would you (yes, you) do about all those homeless people who are ruining businesses and the quality of life of those residents in the areas where they are camped out?

You have to acknowledge that liberal/progressive policies created this problem in the first place. The solution to this, at this point, would have to be draconian unless you are willing to throw tons of money at the problem, which creates an entirely different set of problems.

It's a confluence.
Liberals started rent control, and rent control definitely reduces the available places to rent. Rent control has been in place in the city of LA since 1978, but LA county as a whole didn't have it until 2020.
But conservatives in CA did Prop 13, which has drastically reduced availability both to rent and to buy. And that's statewide.  Prop 13 basically creates a feudal system where the only rational choice is to keep your property in your family forever.
Then there's the zoning, which has been neither liberal nor conservative but all NIMBY
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.
