Help Wanted

#1

What really "grinds my gears" is when fast food places, restaurants and gas stations can't seem to hire people.  What is up with today's youth?  When I was in high school I would jump at the chance to take a job in order to get money for perhaps a car, save up for college, etc.  We are heading in to "summer break" for kids, yet many places of business can't fill vacancies.

"Adults" holding out from taking these jobs are sitting back collecting the "free money" that they are getting.  At one time in my life (at least for me) collecting unemployment carried a stigma.  Being on any kind of "government assistance" was thought of the same way.

Granted working in a fast food restaurant or a gas station is NEVER meant to be a career (for the most part), but I would think that people would choose to do that over welfare.  I know I would.  It's everywhere.  Pretty much every small business has "help wanted" signs up.

We have become a very lazy culture.  People are too interested in what they see on their smart phones to actually work.  It's disgusting and the current administration regime is looking to expand on that with the flow of illegal aliens into the country.

We are not longer the USA, we are fast becoming the USSA.  It's just a matter of time before we look like Venezuela.

There are 10 kinds of people in this world.  Those who understand binary and those who don't.

There really are a lot of places hiring right now. I live in NC and I am seeing help wanted jobs all over the places. Granted some of these jobs aren't good paying jobs (like restaurant jobs), but they are something if someone needs/wants to work and earn at least a little bit of money. Some of these jobs may have to step it up in regards to the type of benefits they are offering people. Many of them want to work people all types of weird/sporadic shifts and that's not going to cut it with a lot of people these days. These jobs don't offer stable/consistent working hours. I hate jobs that do that, but I have worked jobs like that in the past when I was younger.

Anyway, there is a local restaurant where I live that is offering a line cook position at $40,000 yr/plus meal compensation. Most line cooks in this state don't make anywhere near that much. So that is an example of businesses being highly in need of people are willing to offer higher than usual compensation.  There are also several work from home jobs being offered now that were not being offered some years ago, like when I first graduated from college. So there is more opportunity around for people in general.

Love the Tesla reference.

Yeah, it’s super sad these days.   A gas station even had a desk set up for applications.  I may have found help, idk.  He’s been with me a week and a half.  I’ll let you guys know next month if he’s still here.  Long story short, the gubment making it rain on these people like they’re strippers.  I’m convinced they know exactly what they’re doing.  Whatever they can to create a socialist country.  Smh.  Tell me if that’s ever worked.  But yeah, EVERYONE is hiring.  Saw on the news that trash pick up may be delayed due to help as well.  I’ll count my blessings with the help I have.  It’s a great time to grow a business because people are spending money, but if the help isn’t there...

We were offering 15/hr to train and 20/hr for an experienced guy to swing a weed eater. One competitor was offering 23.50 (still is, to my knowledge)   I get it.  When you NEED help...  the ball is in the court for the actual man/woman that actually wants to work.  Luckily I found a guy that’s in between.  Hopefully he sticks around.

So i tucked my hair up under my hat, and I went in to cash my welfare check.
