These next two weeks will reveal a lot about the character and temperament of this team.

The problem is, Houston once again looks like the class of the division. Oddly enough, they are the only team in the division who hasn't even drafted a legit franchise QB.

It seems for a third of those teams, there were unusual circumstances that turned things around. That isn't us. Now I'll just be looking to see certain young players progressing.

Actually...

The 92 Chargers started off horribly (0-4) and made the playoffs. Losing the first 4 games by a combined scored of 95-25.

The 98 Cards, lost their first two 38-10, 33-14.

One team even before the NFL expanded the playoffs that I think fits the theme of this thread very well is the 1989 Steelers.   They lost their first 2 games by a combined score of 92-10 before going on to be a wildcard and winning their first round playoff game.

Let's see. To make the playoffs, a 10-6 record is usually a guaraneed spot. 9-7 can squeeze in the last wildcard spot (or as a division winner of an awful AFCS or something).

Anywho,,

To get to 10-6: Jags need to go 10-4

No way do I see the Jags going 10-4 the rest of the year.

To get to 9-7: Jags need to go 9-5

Maybe, MAYBE that is possible. But, it is very unlikely to happen. I don't see it either.

Jags will do well to go .500 (7-7) the rest of the season, which puts them at 7-9.

A little more ralistic, the Jags finish out the season going 6-8,, putting them at 6-10 overall.

If they're the class then this division is wide open.

Why is this in the Jaguars forum? Switch to NFL at Large.

(That is sarcasm/criticism of the team for comedic effect, just for the sake of clarity, don't care where this thread is)

Somebody says this after every loss until there is no longer 2 games left in the season.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
