Week 5 Games

There is a weather delay for the Chargers vs Raiders game because of lightning, but they're playing in a brand new $5B dome. Anyone want to bet lawyers made that decision?

Home team getting booed out of their misery by the majority of the fans which are the Raiders fans lol.
It makes me feel a lot better about our fan turnout here in Jax. But the NFL will never be the main priority in LA, this was all done for the tv rights.

I continue to be very impressed with Justin Herbert. He is my favorite of the really talented young QB's and I think he may be the best one outside of Mahomes. He's very talented but quiet and low key and he doesn't seem to really have a lot of obnoxious fans like others QB's have.

I'm with you there; smart dude, a lot of poise, real athletic, and makes good decisions. Was a Pre-Med student at Oregon, and wants to pursue that after his football career is done. Team seems to love him and rallies around him.

He had a lot of haters around the time of that draft, and a lot on this board too. He's a stud.

The rest are like me, background armchair noise. With that said, is there any weakness to Herbert’s game? He has smarts, size, quickness, touch, and strength. He’s about a complete of a QB package in the league right now.
Chargers got lucky with drafting Herbert.
He sort of had a rocky 1st half of the season last year, but steadily improved. So much better so far this year, so you know he worked on his game

Herbert’s progress is a good parallel to Lawrence and a lesson to those who were brave (stupid) enough to claim he isn’t all that and is borderline bust. Almost all QBs just don’t play well in the first half season of the pros. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I think they were lucky that Tyrod got injured and Herbert was forced to play. That was a case of "It's good for him" to be out there early.

I was never a fan of Tua during the draft process and thought his skills wouldn't be transferable to the NFL - unfortunately injuries have hampered his future a bit so we'll have to pause our judgement on him for a bit.
Justin Herbert has absolutely blown all expectations I had for him out of the water though. I thought he would be a good QB, but for him to ascend this fast and perform the way he has so far is nothing short of amazing... He's going to be special. Dickson with one of the greatest punts in NFL history. (10-08-2021, 04:04 AM)captivating Wrote: https://www.nfl.com/videos/can-t-miss-pl...-yard-kick I was stunned that wasn't a penalty. Especially since he was beyond the line of scrimmage when he kicked the second time. So much fr MU knowledge of the game LOL (10-08-2021, 04:04 AM)captivating Wrote: https://www.nfl.com/videos/can-t-miss-pl...-yard-kick the best part of that was it made those guest ref commenters look like a doof; good on the refs on the field to understand the rules.
Looks like we are gonna get geno in a few weeks with russ out for 1-2 months. I know nobody wants to hear it with how bad we've been but if we can steal one from Tennessee we then have the almost equally as bad Dolphins up next and then the Seahawks who have the worst defense in the league and geno Smith at QB. Maybe we can get a little momentum going.
