I know jack hasn't been playing lights out yet, but can we please not get rid of every potential star player? Thank you. Stack good players. Enough draft picks already

They need a RB so that might work.

When it comes to trading high draft picks,  the late LA Rams HC George 'Future is Now' Allen would have proud of the current regime.

Potential star player?  He's in his sixth year.  When is he supposed to develop into a star?

He would be back to playing lights out with the Rams. Playing with Darnold up front and Ramsey again and we think he wouldn't play well or make plays?

So, in other words, he needs somebody to cover for his poor play?

Some people are not leaders and generate plays on their own. He fits better when it isn't on him to get it done. He is a part of the whole. Not everyone are capable of being stars.  He isn't a star. He is a better than average guy.

He'd be playing weakside linebacker where he gets to just run and chase the ball. He does that pretty well, so that would be just as important as the guys around him I think.

I don't know if the Rams have any draft picks to trade.  They routinely trade away their high draft picks.  They have been contenders so can't knock it.  We have been building through the draft for eons and 1-5 right now.

Jack is not a good player in a 3-4 defense. He is a really good player as a 4-3 OLB, but we don't play that as a base anymore. If he doesn't fit the scheme, it's best to see what we can get for him.

The Rams only have a 2nd and 3rd round pick in the next draft.

It wasn't meant to be a criticism.  That much more with seeing the vast talent differences on Offense and Defense two days ago between the now 6-1 LA Rams and the 0-7 Lions. .

As long as the LA Rams make good draft selections in the mid and late rounds, which was usually the case,  they can continue to pursue the strategy of trading 1st Round picks for impact veterans. With a new College Scouting Director this year, it remains to be seen what their draft results will be, including with their 2021 crop.

To be fair to Jack, he's a stud 43 WLB.
We changed schemes just as we started using him correctly.

Jack has never been a star. He has had a few 2-3 game stretches of star caliber play, but he has yet to sustain that over a full season...or even a majority of a season. Not even as a 3-4 OLB.

I wouldn't give him away like we have with our other players, but if we could get a day 2 pick and shed his big contract it would be a win for us.

No. Hes an athletic nfl player. Hes better than the rest of the line backers the jags have. You just have to make it work with him. Jags trade any player worth anything for suspect draft picks. Then the draft picks dont turn into a player half as good as the one you traded. Then you say you did a great job because you cut cap. Yay. Rinse and repeat. We can be the minor league for the rams and others .

Trading jack of would be dumb. One of our only players capable of making a game changing play. We need more of those, not
Less.

He was supposed to have developed into a star 3 years ago. Now he's just a guy playing out of position who's injury leads to better defensive play by the team.

Let’s pump the brakes on trading Jack. Give him a few more games playing his natural position. Everyone thought that helped last year
