There's a point for ya..

Fox News has proven to be unreliable but that's not the point. I said I was assuming it IS true...well I'm not going to repeat myself. Go back and read it yourself now that I've enlightened you.

Trust me, you've said absolutely nothing that was enlightening. All you did was degrade a news source while being too lazy to google other sources..

Enlighten on that..

I have always wondered, when it comes to discussion of homosexuality, why people so often use the particular image, "forcing it down everyone's throats."  Hmm...

Because it's being pushed that homosexual behavior is "normal".  It isn't.  That's probably why some of them call it an "alternative lifestyle".

Either way, as it relates to the OP, there is no reason to take elementary aged children to a bar.  The fact that it was a gay bar was possibly pushing the narrative that the "alternative" or "gay" lifestyle is "normal".  It's not.

I personally don't care if a person chooses to be gay.  I have gay family members and friends whom I love very much, but that doesn't mean that their chosen lifestyle is "normal".  There is a reason for males and females of pretty much every species and that is to procreate.  It's not just a religious or cultural thought, it's actual science.

Like a man wiener in a man throat? Or we talkinging about a girl wiener in a man that’s now a girl throat?

Next field trip will be for the science club to sit in on a surgical procedure and we’ll watch Patrick become Patricia.

How would the kids be hurt by going to a bar?

I wouldn't have done it, but I don't think it's a big deal.

Dude, I would be mad at a teacher for taking my kids to a regular bar. It serves absolutely no purpose whatsoever. I have already seen liberal friends of mine saying it helps them learn to love homosexuals. That's not their job. It's not their job to teach them to learn to love drunks. It's their job to teach them math and science. This is how we're building a generation of mindless idiots that don't know how think about anything critically. How would they be hurt, he says. Lol,  you think the Chinese are taking their students to gay bars? We are going to lose this cold war because of tolerance.

He would rather follow news outlets that call In-in-out burger a white supremacist fast food franchise.

Still waiting for the woke crowd to declare In-n-Out burger to be a sexual trigger....

Well, it is where gay people go to hook up for sex.  Isn't it?

I'm not defending it.  It's a waste of time when the kids could be doing something productive or educational.  But I don't think kids would be damaged by walking into a gay bar.

Change the headline to “Local school board member chaperones trip of ELEMENTARY children to Waco’s.”  For Pete's sake Marty, elementary kids do not belong in any bar as a part of a field trip.  Have you no shame?

Taking kids to any bar shows poor judgement and should be grounds for dismissal if you work at a school.
But I get where Marty's coming from too, kids are more resilient and less observant than you think. If this was only a one time thing it probably didn't affect any of the kids at all. Not defending it just saying there's probably no need to worry about those kids as long as it doesn't happen again.

It all depends on what type of gay bar it was. Was it a bar where the patrons just happened to be gay, or a gay bar where people are walking around like a x rated Village People reunion tour.
What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???

Is that from the movie 'Crusin' with Al Pacino?

Y'all gotta read more carefully.

It was a bar & grill i.e. a restaurant. It looked like a gay Applebee's.

Regardless, do teachers not have to get fields trips ok'd these days? Seems like when my son was in school I knew of every little event.

I don't think there are any "straight" bars in Wilton Manors.  It's well know in the Fort Lauderdale area to be a gay community.  Not quite Village People clothing, but it's obvious.

No idea the rules in this county in Florida, but in my county (Maryland), every field trip has to be approved by your principal and there has to have some kind of attachment to the curriculum for it to be approved.

I took my 5th grade students to a minor league baseball game one time and it only got approved because we were working on throwing and catching.

For perspective, my 4th grader is going to Kennedy Space Center next week on a field trip. It's no Blue Oyster Bar, but I'm sure it will he fun.

Not so different.  One has more thrust, but they both enjoy re-entry.
