We thought we couldn't lose during the bye week.
We were wrong.

Anyone know the NFPLA restrictions on the bye week with the London formula? I am not shocked they didn't practice but it doesn't apply to coaches.

And like Bullseye said in impressions thread the extra coaches on this staff sure is a joke (My summary. His post is a warning)

I think they are required some time off. But not the whole week.

What a joke, but not surprising. Anybody who watched that game yesterday could tell that this coaching staff/team didn't do jack [BLEEP] the last 2 weeks.

I get taking some time off for the bye week, but why in the world would they wait an extra day longer than they would on a normal week to get back to it? A day less to prepare while you're also dealing with a west coast trip vs a team you have never beaten? Super yikes.

???

I thought he got his game check and had to go make a deposit in the Caymens or in Nebraska or somewhere.

Smoot had a really good game yesterday.
Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency.

1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.

He was not bad at all.  Him and Allen were the few bright spots.

He has worked hard and improved during his time in Jax despite the [BLEEP] show around him

I don't blame him for being embarrassed by the ineptitude around him

Is this any different than other teams? Doesn't every team give their players Thur-Sun off during their bye week?

I bet if we made them practice those 4 days instead, we'd be hearing about how they overworked the players during the bye.

These players on our team need to be run to the ground practicing nonstop - but then I think about it and even then we'd still suck.

That prep was more like getting ready for a colonoscopy. The golightly was the 10 days, the play on the field was the output.
