I was friends with a girl back in the 90s whose daughter was born with similar issues. She was the size of a nine month old but was actually 3-4 years old. She had to wear diapers, eat baby food and had cognitive dysfunction. I don't remember all the details but I remember thinking it was such an odd thing. I was in my 20s and didn't have much life experience yet (or the great interwebs) so I was freaked out, but not. It was just an odd situation.
