He was a huge disappointment. The trade to the SF 49ers turned around his NFL career. My guess is the Jets are going to add a Defensive Edge player and CB in the first couple of rounds in the draft. I can't recall then having a big time pass rusher since John Abraham, mostly in the Herman Edwards era. While he didn't come cheap, I think the Jaguars made a great addition with LB Foyesade Oluokun. He's a playmaking and tackling machine. The Bob Sutton connection could well have made the difference in the Jags landing Oluokun. Memories of the type of LB Mike Peterson was could well be returning with Oluokun wearing a Jags uniform.. I believe Foley Fatukasi is a good addition for the Jaguars Defense. He's more than a two down interior Defensive Lineman, as evidenced by a pretty high number of pass rush pressures. Btandon Scherff is the Jags Offensive FA addition today that I think will help the Jags the most. I think the jury is out on the other Offensive players the Jags signed today. If even two of them pan out, your confidence in Doug Pederson dating back to at least last off-season, will be rewarded. |
