Let's talk SD matchups

#1

I think our Linebackers can cover Danny Woodhead. And Melvin Gordon finally scored his 1st and 2nd TD last week.

San Diego's offensive line will not be near as good as Green Bay.

Ramsey and our secondary should have a field day against their receivers.

Our offensive line will welcome Bosa to the NFL.

I think we said all of these things last year.

It will be interesting to see how the Chargers use Jason Verrett, I expect Verrett to shadow Allen Robinson. A-Rob has the size advantage but Verrett is a really good corner with an insane vertical, should be interesting.

That Bosa holdout lasted longer than I remember.

Last year we didn't have Ramsey. "Aaron Rodgers didn't throw my way, write that." Says Jalen Ramsey.

BCC reported that Rodgers threw in Ramsey's vicinity 4 times for 2 completions.

However those 2 completions we were in a zone and Ramsey wasn't covering the receiver so to speak.

I think he shuts one side of the field down. He played like a beast last Sunday...per Alfie.

Yeah, don't sleep on Verrett. He's a pretty good player.

Exactly what I was thinking. Biggest match up is Jags vs traveling to the west coast

And to add. The patriots traveled to Arizona and won without gronk and brady. Miami traveled to Seattle and nearly won. We should be able to beat a poor team anywhere.

Brandon Flowers vs Lee and/or Hurns should give Blake some nice opportunities.  I could see him giving up a few big receptions.

I could see Blake throwing for nearly 400 yards in this one.

Yes! Hurns and the boys should have a big day. I'd like to see more crossing patterns though.

@nyc, watch out for Verrett though. He's a decent player.

We've got to get over the psychological aspect of traveling to the left coast.

It's in our heads.

Plus this will be San Diego's home opener.....possibly their "last" home opener.

If it's possible for them to be "up" for a game...players and fans,it will be this one.(not that S.D. is a hostile environment usually).

Limit mistakes and get to Rivers.

Those IMO are the two biggest keys to getting victory #1.

It won't be easy but I'm pretty confident we can get the win.

The Chargers won't run the ball against us so it will be a wild west shootout between Rivers and Bortles. As far as I know their safeties suck but they have good Lbs and a decent Dline. If we are healthy on D I'd be confident of us making more stops than they will.
