Sure.

But in a vacuum, the thought of Pederson coaching this team is really exciting.  I was pushing for him since last year.

Maybe I'm just jaded and bitter but I don't find Pederson overly exciting.  I'd be fine with him.  If I ranked the candidates he would be near the top (if not the top).  But excited I am not.  Yes he won a Super Bowl at Philly but it felt like he was trending downward over his time there.  And I know there were questions about him and Wentz having a falling out (did we ever find out what exactly happened with that).  And in his 8 years as being an OC or head coach, 5 of those years his team was in the bottom third in yards.  And only once top 10.  In those 8 years, the defense was better than his offense in almost of them.  Would he get that luxury with the Jags?  I don't know.  But no he doesn't get me extremely excited.  However, I don't think he is a bad option.  If he could consistently get us to 9-8 each year, I'd take it in a heartbeat.  At the end of the day we just need someone who can make us competitive on a week to week basis and have us playing meaningful games in December.  That shouldn't be a tall order but it is the jags.
