But calling him “lackadaisical” seems farfetched and you even said it’s unfounded. No reason to bring up something that’s most likely not true.

It's just what I remember my impression was of him at the time. 

Regardless, the team is in too precarious of a position (developing Trevor Lawrence and the team around him) to trust it to a first time HC. Maybe Leftwich will turn out to be good, maybe he won't, but it seems too risky for an experiment. I realize all HCs start somewhere, and if we weren't fielding a QB with huge potential at the crux of his development, Leftwich would be more agreeable.

It was something to do with working on his windup. I think he basically said it was fine and he didn't need to change anything if I remember correctly. It rubbed a lot of people because he was refusing to put in the work to get better and add in his mannerisms and personality and you end up with a person that appears to be lazy and doesn't care much.
