The goal? probably the number 1 goal should be to bring someone who can develop Trevor (as he is the future). Maybe focus on stop being the worst team in the league and develop our young QB then we can worry about the playoffs and the SB.I think it's safe to say if the QB develops, playoffs usually come with good/great QB play. Not always, but most of the time. The Jags defense has some solid pieces going forward, so a good QB would do wonders for this team. Exactly! I agree, which is why someone who can develop or "help" Trevor should be the priority. Let's say we bring Leftwich and he develops/"helps" Trevor but for whatever reason (Leftwich's fault) we don't win a playoff game or we never make it to the AFCC, it would much easier to then bring a coach who is more defensive minded, or leader or whatever when you already have a good enough QB (like Colts did with Dungy, who obviously was a good coach but never won the SB until he got Manning as his QB). So if we were to bring JDR back you think Trevor would be ok and he would develop the same as if he had Shanahan or McVay? or if we bring Eberflus it really doesn't matter who he brings as the OC Trevor will do just fine? I mean some things should be clear after watching this team play...
