Payton would be my number one choice but there's zero percent chance it happens. I think you're right about what he would want(and I would endorse it for what it's worth)  but I would have thought he would have left the Saints earlier if we were truly interested.

You easily could be correct that Sean Payton would have left the Saints earlier than today if he truly had interest in the Jaguars or another specific HC opening.  Yet, there's also the possibility that it was very difficult for Payton to move on from the Saints organization and the New Orleans area after 15 years as Saints HC.  This is even with a likely rebuild ahead.   Payton, along with Drew Brees, will likely always remain primary faces of the Saints Franchise.
