Bevell will always be the guy that threw from the 1yd line in the SB with Marshawn Lynch in the backfield.

Carroll called for the pass; Bevell dialed up the play, a play they had a 90% success rate on earlier in the year. Pats also had their jumbo package in and Marshawn had a poor history in similar matchups. That's the history of it.
Year before, Seahawks clobbered the Broncos for a ring. Yep, Bevell pushed those buttons too.

I like Bevell.

I do not like some of his play calling.

I think he did some good things as a play caller and some bad things. More good than bad.

He made some obvious but needed adjustments when he became the interim HC last season. Schotty called better situational plays than he did, but the two together were somewhat intriguing to me. Bevell/Schotty helped Trevor more than Meyer/Bevell  who just threw him to the wolves every week. 

But - if we're given a clean slate to work with - we can aim higher.
