Even after Meyer was ousted he was given a chance to run the ship, the offense finally looked better when he gave up calling the plays and let Schottenheimer run the offense. He did it with the exact same personnel (and no James Robinson!!!) that Bevell had and we actually looked like a competent offense to close the season. He ran the offense all year and it couldn't function, I can't not give him accountability for that. I don't want him around Trevor going forward to stunt his growth. Are you really that out of touch with how an NFL offense works? Methinks so. Yeah, because QBs always throw their coordinators and coaches under the bus when they have the chance. Trevor will never have a bad thing to say about any of his coaches, ever. It would be unprofessional. You know what? I actually like Bevell. He seems like a genuinely great guy, and it wouldn't surprise me if he turned out to be a better head coach than coordinator. I don't want him running this team though. He did nothing to wow me and make me think he is the HC of the future here. And, his last two coaching stints have been on absolute all-around disasters, and he needs a clean start just as much as the Jags do. |
