January 6 Committee: Thousands of Interviews, Few New Facts

The lady's testimony was secondhand anyhow.  First we need to hear from this Ornato person.  Did he actually tell her that, and who did he hear that from.  If Ornato says under oath that the drivers told him about "lunging for the wheel" day of, that would suggest that the drivers are changing their story now.

Thanks for bringing some sanity to this board. Frankly, I don't know how you continue to debate the Trump supporters; it's literally like banging your head against the wall. These people will never change their views regardless of what damning evidence is found. If a Democratic president did the same things Trump did prior to, during and after January 6 imagine what their response would be.

Tony Ornato did not brief Cassidy Hutchinson that Trump tried to lunge at Secret Service agent: sources

From the article:

Quote:A source close to former Trump Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations Tony Ornato says he did not brief Jan. 6 Committee witness Cassidy Hutchinson on one of the major allegation she made to the committee Tuesday.

Hutchinson, a former top aide to White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, testified to lawmakers Tuesday that Ornato told her former President Donald Trump repeatedly demanded that the Secret Service take him to the Capitol on January 6. Ornato further told Hutchinson, according to her, that Trump lunged at a Secret Service agent and tried to grab the wheel of a presidential SUV when agents would not allow that.

However, a source close to Ornato told Fox News that Ornato watched the hearing yesterday and was shocked when Cassidy made the allegation about the steering wheel.

Perhaps this "witness" (Cassidy) lied under oath.

You're insane. We wouldn't even get to January 6th. There would have been immediate investigations and the MSM would have talked about stolen elections non-stop. Not only that, but there would also have been massive, violent riots that would be deemed mostly peaceful. If an establishment President did what Trump did, you'd get an entirely different narrative coming out of the MSM. Period. And you, and everyone like you, who is incapable of recognizing they are being manipulated, would be on the opposite side of this issue.

Fox generally does a decent job on these things, and then their headline writers bungle them up.
Read the article.
It says Ornato and Engels have already confirmed under oath that Trump was angry in the SUV and wanted to go the the Capitol regardless of the danger.
Regardless of if they agree about the trying to grab the steering wheel part, the other parts are enough to establish mens rea on Trump’s part.

An establishment President would not have falsely claimed that vote totals were faked or any other election irregularity.

See, right there. No matter how many facts are presented, dishonest people like you keep trying to pretend it doesn't exist.  In AZ alone, there were over 740k ballots that should NOT have been counted, but YOU want to just go right along with the established lies and act like it didn't happen. WE KNOW, w/o a DOUBT that Biden lost that election. And if were not for mail in ballots used for cheating, Biden would be in a nursing home by now. So take a long hike off a short pier.

Speaking of manipulation, Trump has successfully manipulated you and his other "loyal" supporters. Fortunately, enough Republicans have "seen the light" and recognize their support of him was misguided. I respect them for their courage and ability to admit they were wrong to support him at all. The credible information gained from these hearings (first hand only) should be more than enough for the Republican voters to support any candidate other than Trump to be their nominee in 2024. If I am wrong about this, a Democrat will again be occupying the White House in 2024 despite the poor performance of Biden for the past 2 years plus.

You saw she lied about the note she didn't write, it's already on the record from the lawyer writing it and everyone knew that.

Trump wasn't in the Beast. You can't by design get into the driver compartment from the back. Unless we are now saying Trump is more than fit enough to break through bomb proof glass. I thought we were all supposed to question that Trump could walk down a ramp or drink water with 1 hand?

The people she said told her have offered to testify but they are just going to ignore the truth and just move on.

I don't give a [BLEEP] about Trump. This has nothing to do with the guy. This is about an establishment that uses underhanded tactics to manipulate and control a populace that is too busy and concerned with their own comfort to pay attention to what is going on with our government.

Even if true, these "facts" are irrelevant and do not come remotely close to supporting the burden of proof that you suggest.  It's like saying anyone who is angry and goes to a BLM protest, does so with the intent to riot.

Ask yourself this...  If that was indeed a fact, why did this committee not bring these witnesses in to testify in their televised DNC ad?  Why do they rely on the testimony of a woman "who was told by someone else that was told something happened"?

President Trump may have been angry, but her false testimony about him reaching for the steering wheel pretty much throws any credibility that she might have had out the window.  Oh that's right.  Because she is testifying that "someone told her what someone else told them".

This so-called "hearing" is nothing more than the DNC trying to make sure that Trump can not run again.  Period.

Is there any credible evidence saying that President Trump "reached for the steering wheel"?

According to the left, even 3rd person hearsay evidence, which is not allowed in a court of law (other thana show kangaroo court that is) is credible against the bad orange man because he's mean and hurts their little feelings!

Here's a diagram of "The Beast".... Trump would have had to jump a long ways, thru a bullet proof partition, and over people to try and grab the steering wheel......
