Good to see Brown over Junior. Brown was first team all SEC yet they drafted Junior over Brown. Took Junior for STs

Looks like they still have Taylor penciled in at RT.

Interesting when you look at who is listed 3rd string or beyond.  There are only 53 spots and every position is limited to a certain number of players.

It looks like 6th round pick Greg Junior is headed to the practice squad, while 7th round pick Montaric Brown could make the active roster.

Also, pardon my ignorance, but someone named Tim Jones is 2nd string WR.  Who?  Have I not been paying attention?

Our new version of Cortez Hankton, the perpetual jar on the shelf, plays preseason, maybe sees some action late in the year when injuries deplete the roster.

That D looks so much better from the last 2 years. Some youth and speed, the secondary looks much better.

Still a bit worried with the Oline but with Warhop gone I'm hoping that's going to be something that helps.

I think our back 7 defensively will be the strength of this team by a mile... We will have a D with JDR vibes, good overall vs run and pass, but no pass rush lol. Those 2000s teams were so frustrating, would do well vs mostly everyone but when we needed a good rush we always fell short. Follow that up with the draft I try to act like never happened(2008) where we blew early picks on 2 bust/horrid "pass rushers" and that was the beginning of the end.

My question is what is the usual distribution of players across the various positions? Based upon this depth chart, what will the final 53-man roster look like?

This article's count is pretty typical.

You can always rob from one group to boost another

For instance - we may have 7 receivers, but only list 6 if Agnew is listed as a KR/PR specialist.

That is a really old article and I’m not sure it completely applies today.

Yea, if you look at the position groups we actually have only maybe 10 spots on the 53 man roster that 50+ guys are fighting for.

Snoop Connor and Benjie Franklin are the two players that I'm excited to see hit the field. Snoop will play an vital part of the offense until Robinson is 100% healthy. Benjie, the small school wonder has been said to always be around the ball when he's on the field. Excitement runs rapid.
