I'd say Meyer expected success, he just didn't put the effort in to make it reality.

What a difference a year makes. You can't help but root for these guys to do well.

Good point.  But even the effort Meyer did put in was misdirected.  "My thousand yard running back? Forget him.  Let's give the rookie QB 50+ pass attempts instead."
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.
