Van Lanen was also traded for. I know his few appearances were rough but they have to make a decision on him as well. As Scherff is only here I think for one more year. I think Mazi Smith is a good fit for NT to fill in with Fatukasi. He's 6'3, 326 pounds. I'll tell you another guy I like though, a guy you might be familiar with. He's not Jalen Carter but he would be nice a pick-up. It's Gervon Dexter out of Florida. He's bigger than Smith but has that speed you're looking for to collapse the middle.

Dexter is good at times but no way i would take him in the first round or probably even the 2nd.  Florida's D has probably been the worst ive ever seen it this year.  What games did you really like from Dexter?  Van Lanen was traded for depth and they put in Shatley when Bartch got hurt.  Scherff signed a 3 year deal so we get him another 2 years at least.  Its nice to have a great RG over what we have had there all these years

Have not seen a whole lot of Florida games on my end. I don't see him as first or second round player though. However, it is a big game for them today in about 15 minutes. Anything he puts good on tape today could go a very long way for him. Scherff is solid. The only concern with him is long term durability over a 17 game stretch. Especially with him getting a little bit up there in age. 

I think they need to figure out what they're going to do with Walker Little more than anything. He's the wildcard in all of this. I think they have to be willing to sign Taylor back up over at RT. They did it for Cam Robinson over at LT. There's really no sense in letting him get away in the off season. You're just creating another need when we need to be focusing on skill positions on the outside and refining the interior defensive lineman positions with quality fire power and depth. 

Next year, hopefully the line-up is:

LT - Robinson
LG - Little
C - Fortner
RG - Scherff
RT - Taylor 

That would be ideal. You're now maximizing all of your draft picks from the past four+ years. 2nd RD pick at LT, 2nd RD pick at LG, 3rd RD pick at C and 2nd RT pick at RT. That's a dream come true for most teams. Is it the BEST group? No. But, if this team had maybe ONE big receiver on the outside or another viable receiving threat at say, the TE position? We're on the plus side of .500 this year and we're all happy with this offensive front.
