1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

IMHO, this was a game that was a near perfect storm type in favor of the Lions. Though the Lions created opportunities and took advantage of opportunities, the bounce of the ball went the Lions way. The officiating probably did as well. The Lions were as healthy as the team has been since at least the season opener vs. the Eagles.

Thankfully, it looks like Trevor Lawrence didn't suffer a major injury. While there was no doubt about Lawrence's leadership and toughness going into the game, the appreciation for Lawrence amongst his teammates and coaches is very likely that much higher after Lawrence came back into the game, when the Jags got the ball for the first time in the 3rd QTR. Then, was a differential factor on that eventual TD drive.

On any given day, a 0-16 team can beat the brakes off a 16-0 team. The worst teams in the NFL have the best, most elite athletes on the planet. The ol saying “beat teams you’re supposed to beat” is just fanspeak. Playing a winless team at home is no different than playing an undefeated team away. The Jaguars are not “suppose” to win any game. No team is for that matter. That’s why they dress out and play the game.

Browns can Kick Rocks.  I hope that Watson deal curses them for the next century.

With that said, I really like the Eagles just because of the Hurts story.  Jalen Hurts could have been such a baby and wallowed at being benched by Saben for Tua.  But nope.  Dude just sucked it up and went and honed his craft.  God love a guy like that.  Get kicked in the face, get up.  Spit out the blood, and keep it moving forward.  He's an inspiration.  (I also travel a lot to the Philly area, and I gotta say, I like the people of Philly.  NO BS.  Just straight up dudes that will say what's on their mind)

Other than that, I'm right with you.
